More happiness

Ibn Mas'ud narrated that the Holy Prophet (sa`aws) said:

Ask Allah for His favour because Allah likes to be asked and the best divine service is prolonged hope for relief. (Tirmidhi)

[The Holy Qur'an says: (O prophet (s) When my servants inquire from you about Me, (tell them) I am indeed close to them; I respond to the prayer of every supplicant when he calls on Me (2:186).]

wonderful article that was sent to me...

Amma ba'ad:

All praise is due to Allaah. And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our prophet, his family, and companions.

3:102. O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam.

Allah is the Rich and we are the poor.

This is a fact that none of us can deny or reject, yet people still go after the treasures of the world and reject the Lord of Truth.

"Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children.” [57:20]

Look at this world with the eyes of your heart, you will find it ugly and nasty; look at it with your physical eyes and it will lure you to the side and slaughter you.

Be content with whatever Allah has decreed for you. Fear Allah in your innermost being. Implement His commands. Once your heart complies with the Divine Decree, the Lord of Truth will grant you from sources you never imagined: As Allah says:

"And whosoever is conscious of Allah, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed Allah has sent a measure for all things." [65:2-3]

Dear brothers, beg of His mercy; turn to Him with a heart full of sincere repentance.

"O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance." [66:8]

Stand before your Lord with humility, call upon the Bestower of Grace by His Most Beautiful Names and attributes of perfection. If He fulfills your wish, then increase in your gratitude and servitude to Him. If He denies your request, then succumb to the Divine Decree of the All-Wise with a submissive heart. Do not argue or object to His will. Always remember what Allah says:

"…Allah knows and you know not." [24:19]

Allah disposes of everything as He wills, and commands as He wills:

"He is not to be questioned about what He does, though they are subject to His questioning." [21"23]

If wealth and happiness are destined for you, they will come to you at their appointed time according to the Divine Decree of Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Do not be greedy but be moderate because you will receive everything that was written for you. If you rebel, you will earn the displeasure of the All Mighty, and lose all spiritual comfort in this life. Maalik ibn Deenaar once said:

"If you want to acquire true knowledge of Allah, the All Mighty, then consent to His management and planning. Make not your mind and desire, passion or will associates to Him."

For those who have sound health but a weak heart! Wake up and run to your Creator with repentance on your tongue, tears in your eyes, and sincerity in your heart. Cry before Him, before others cry for you. Rush to the mercy of your creator!

"Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allah's Reminder…?" [57:16]

Remove the veils of darkness that have corroded your heart. Adorn it with His fear and love.

Do you not fear the moment when you will stand before your Lord? There will be no screen between Him and you, nor an interpreter to translate for you. And your Creator will question you.

You will find nothing to your left nor to your right but the blazing Fire of Hell. Do what the Prophet of Allah advised you, if you truly fear Allah:

"…So let each of you protect himself against Hell-Fire, even with half of a date - and if he finds not, then with a kind word."

You are the servant, He is the Master. You are poor, yet He is Rich. You are weak, Yet He is All Powerful. Prayers come from you, answers come from Him. Abstinence comes from you, protection comes from Him. Repentance comes from you, acceptance comes from Him. Go towards him walking, He will come to you running.

Make your deeds pure for His sake alone, and He will extend His mercy to you. Glorify His religion and follow it, and He will extend His bounty to you. Follow the Sunnah of His beloved, and He will extend His love to you.

Look forward to your meeting with Allah. For it will be very soon. Sooner than you can imagine! Make preparations for this meeting. Get rid of the love of this world from your heart; free it from everything other than the Lord of it. Do not buy the world and pay with the hereafter as a price. Do not sell the hereafter to acquire this world.

"…Shall We tell you who are the greatest losers in whatever they may do? Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought they were acquiring good by their deeds…" [18:103-104]

The Most Wise did not create you to gratify your base desires and passions, nor did He create you for fun, amusement, eating, drinking, sleeping, or having intercourse! As Allah says:

"I have created the jinns and the humans solely to worship Me." [51:56]

But people are so heedless as if they drunk. Do You think that the Angel of Death will never squeeze your soul out of your body? Have you forgotten that you will pass through the bridge with the intense Fire of Hell underneath you? You are unaware of the thrashing that awaits you in your grave by the angels of Allah. Hot stones of Jahannam for you to walk on, bitter pus as a drink to drink from, foul rotten meat to eat, your lips to be cut by coarse scissors, getting trampled under the feet of the people of Pharaoh, screaming with your mouths wide open while the hot coals that you consumed come out of your back side, cutting your own flesh from the sides to eat it, scratching your chests and faces with brass nails - all this awaits the disobedient if they do not pay the zakah, if they fornicate and cheat, if they eat up interest, backbite, or slander people's honor.

This is a scene just from the grave, but the Hell fire is still yet to come!

"…the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew." [68:33]

Dear brothers! It is a duty upon every sane person to be prepared for his departure (from this world), for one does not know when he will be served by his Lord's commands (to take away his soul) nor does he know how long it is going to be before he will be summoned (for the Day of Judgment).

We have seen so many people enchanted by their youth. They have forgotten that their peers and friends no longer exist, yet they are preoccupied with prolonged hopes (to stay alive).

A person in the process of acquiring knowledge may tell himself; 'I will acquire knowledge today and will adopt it the following day.' Such (postponement) may leave him in his deviation whilst giving himself a break (for the day)! Delaying his readiness to achieve repentance, whilst exposing himself to be indulged in (sins, such as) backbiting or listening to such backbiting or getting involved in a doubtful matters.

He hopes to cancel it out (i.e. the bad deed/s) through his would be observance, the following day, forgetting that death may be sudden.

The wise one is he who values each and every moment of his life, observing one's due duties. As it was once said:

We tend to plan for our future everyday
Desperately we try to pave the way
We save every little bit of money we can find
And to the people who help us achieve, we are so kind

If there is something we want a lot, we're willing to fight For a future filled with happiness that is Oh so bright
It is unfortunate though, to fill one's heart with sorrow
But remember dear Muslims - our future is not tomorrow
It is not money or fame that will get us ahead
But the number of times we worship Allah before bed
This is what will make our future unimaginably great
So let us wake up and take control of our Fate.
Tomorrow is not the future we should be planning for
But the Day we will be standing before Allah's door
The Day when we will be reminded of every last deed
Like the day we forgot the poor because of our greed.
And what dear Muslim shall you say
When Allah asks you why you didn't pray?
So let us pray, worship and keep the poor fed
For our Future begins once we are all dead

أقولُ قولي هذا، وأَستغفرُ اللهَ لي ولكُم ، فاستغفروه، إنه هو الغفور الرحيم.

Second Khutbah

Praise be to Allah, the Originator, the Guider who guides whom He wishes. And may the peace and blessings be upon our prophet, his family and companions.

O People, I advise you and myself to fear Allah for this is the best provision for this life and the here after.

Allah's Rights upon His creation are the rights that must be kept the most. Allah is the sole Creator and Sustainer of the universe. He is the Almighty who created everything with absolute wisdom. Allah is the One who initiated every being from nothing.

He is the One who protects humans in their mothers' wombs, as infants, as children and as adults. He, alone, sustains all humans and provides them with food and every aspect of life.

Allah said, which means, "And Allah has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And He gave you hearing, sight and hearts that you might give thanks (to Allah)." [16:78]

If Allah refuses sustenance to anyone he will be instantly destroyed. Allah's mercy is what keeps humans and everything else alive.

Allah's control over his slaves is perfect. His bounties are countless. If this is His role in the life of humans, then His rights are what one must keep the most. Allah does not need sustenance from His slaves.

He said, which means: "We ask not of you a provision. We provide it for you. And the good end is for the Muttaqeen (the ones who fear Allah)." [20:132]

Allah only wants one thing from His slaves.

As Allah says which means "And I (Allah) created not the Jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (alone). " [51:56-58]

Allah only wants mankind to worship Him alone and ascribe no partners with Him in worship, and truly be His slaves. He wants them to surrender to His will, as they surrender to His control for the means of their lives. It is only fair to worship only the One who holds the existence of everything and everyone is in His Hands.

One should thank Allah and praise Him. Allah said, what translated means: "And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry out loud for help." [16:53]

What Allah requires His slaves to do is easy. He does not want hardship to come to those striving to worship Him. He said, which means: "And strive hard in Allah's cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity). He has chosen you (to convey Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Islam). It is He (Allah) who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Quran), that the Messenger (Mohammad) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind. So offer prayer perfectly, give Zakat (compulsory charity), and hold fast to Allah, He is your Lord, what an excellent Lord and what an excellent helper!" [22:78]

What Allah wants from us is to worship Him with sincerity, and to perform religious deeds. Five prayers a day bring forgiveness from Him and purity in the heart. Muslims must try to perform prayer in the best form: "So keep your duty to Allah as much as you can." [64:16]

There are the duties of Allah's slaves towards Him. They are not difficult to perform. For the reward outweighs the requirements by far. The reward is as Allah says which means "And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception." [3:185] We ask Allah to guide us to that which is best, to save us from his punishment and to leave it for those who rejected Him. May Allah unite us all in paradise alone with his prophet and may the peace and blessings be upon him, his family and companions…

subHan Allah!

SURAH 75. The Resurrection

26.
Kallā 'idhā balaghati at-Tarāqī.
26.
Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit),
كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتْ التَّرَاقِيَ

27.
Wa Qīla man Rāqin.
27.
And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?"
وَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ

28.
Wa Žanna 'annahu al-Firāqu.
28.
And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death);
وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ

29.
Wa at-Taffati as-Sāqu bis-Sāqi.
29.
And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded)
وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ

30.
'Ilá Rabbika Yawma'idhin al-Masāqu.
30.
The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)!
إِلَى رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ

31.
Falā Şaddaqa wa Lā Şallá.
31.
So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Qur'an, in the Message of Muhammad) nor prayed!
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّى

32.
Wa lakin kadhdhaba wa tawallá.
32.
But on the contrary, he belied (this Qur'an and the Message of Muhammad) and turned away!
وَلَكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى

33.
Thumma Dhahaba 'ilá 'ahlihi yatamaţţá.
33.
Then he walked in full pride to his family admiring himself!
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّى

34.
'Awlá laka fa'awlá.
34.
Woe to you [O man]! And then (again) woe to you!
أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى

35.
Thumma 'awlá laka fa'awlá.
35.
Again, woe to you! And then (again) woe to you!
ثُمَّ أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى

desi, in one of your previous comments you recalled a lecture by Mohammad Al Shareef called "Malls are sooo haram" -- can you post it on here so we can read/listen to it in shaa' Allah? jazak Allahu khayran sis !!! :D

Israeli Massacre at a Beach in Gaza, Palestine yesterday...

Hasbiya Allah wa ni`mal wakil...

Saturday, June 03, 2006

Just so we can increase our knowledge as Muslims:
Alopecoid means similar to or resembling a fox.

As far as the fainting boy is concerned, I totally feel like that's going to happen to me one day -- only I hope people don't have camera's and recorders... eeks.

But how humiliating is that compared to what may happen to people on the day of judgement? subHan Allah.
